@GingerGorman ... then tried to lie about it ("but you ate it, darling, don't you remember?"), and finally attempted to blame my husband who promptly through me back under the bus.

Can anyone recommend resources and/or programs that are specifically focussed on the "how" for teaching STEM as a specific learning area or unit in high schools? I've read the reports on the @acereduau website - are there communities of practice out there? #STEM#education#units
Day 2 of LSA at my local primary school. So far, it has been exactly like when I got a new puppy... the first 24 hours were all "Sh#t, what have I done?" while today was "okay, I remember why I chose to do this now". By the end of the week, I'll be hooked.

Just had another amazing meeting with an ACT school to discuss establishing a data team and creating a culture that embraces data as a tool for telling great stories. I really love these conversations and am so glad to be able to contribute!
I'm still a few months away from graduating but have started attending job interviews. What do you like to see from graduate teachers in an interview? What are the most important qualities? #graduateteacher#teacherjobs

And if you employ someone straight out of school, please remember their executive brain function isn't complete until age 21 or so.
This is an important point. Curricula can and should be interesting but also challenging and authentic. We all have tasks we hate doing and students need to experience this too.
When we design curricula that are primarily organized around student interests, we end up unintentionally joining in with the chorus of modern life that says,
"If something doesn't interest me right away, it's not worth doing."
"If I'm bored, someone is not doing their job."
