@Avabelly__ Sand the rough edges with a 300 + grit sandpaper. Fill grooves with wood putty and scrape level to the floor. Stain the damaged and surrounding area with matching stain (looks like walnut). Use a black fine point sharpie to match up wood grain. Lucky the floor is dark.

@Avabelly__ Thank you for stopping and leaving a note. $800 is reasonable. Ask for 3 estimates if unsure. If their insurance does not pay for a rental - that rental should be on you.

Estimates, getting a rental, loss of value- a huge inconvenience for them. Remember that.

@gofishh77 This is a typical toddler tantrum. Ever hear of the “terrible twos”? All four of mine went through this phase. It was dreadful. They are testing their boundaries and exerting independence. He will get the message that mom makes the rules. Don’t judge mom. She did good ❤️
