We received an email the other day from a Sunderland fan regarding our 150th Anniversary shirt…take a read.

The illegal car park at The Crown, birthplace of Black Sabbath & Birmingham’s Cathedral of Sound, has been issued with a planning notice to shut. They now have 28 days to comply.
Merry Christmas to you Toyoko Inns.
Brum: To save The Crown you have to keep demanding action ✊
Watched a Hampton Court doc last night that said Historic Royal Palaces (6 sites) employ 30 conservation specialists.
Birmingham has less than 1/30th of the capacity to protect heritage for an ENTIRE CITY with 100x the history.
Before Covid Birmingham Council had EIGHT conservation officers. Today Birmingham Council has ONE. And they’re part-time.
Is it any wonder the historic Electric Cinema, The Crown or Methodist Central Hall all sit rotting? Or selfish ‘developers’ can destroy city treasures?
@x_brum A BID so very needed!! Worth reviewing the website content. There are still several references to Rye throughout which need updating to reflect the Digbeth context.
Quite right to honour Ozzy. Now maybe @BhamCtyCouncil can take steps to protect Station Street from unwanted redevelopment and save The Crown. That WOULD be honouring Ozzy's legacy.
This is it. This is the moment we MUST take our musical heritage seriously. Look at how much it means to people from across the globe!
That would honour his legacy and provide comfort to his family.
#Birmingham step up! 💜🦇
Norway turned old warehouse in Trondheim into Rockheim, a national museum of rock. Archive. Gig space. Digital storytelling.
Meanwhile, The Crown, where Black Sabbath invented heavy metal, rots on Station Street.
That’s the difference between cultural policy & cultural neglect.
Ozzy Osbourne was appalled the birthplace of Black Sabbath & Heavy Metal, The Crown on Station St had been left to rot. And that Glenbrook Property want to demolish the UK's oldest working cinema The Electric. Save Station Street. Honour Ozzy & the UK's most historic arts street.
More than 26,100 people want Ozzy and Black Sabbath's spiritual home, The Crown, saved. It sits on the UK's most historic but neglected grassroots arts street. Join the calls for action.
There is simply no excuse left for those in power not to act.

I hope journalists - and the rest of us - are currently taking note of which local politicians are very quickly issuing their stock condolence tweets today who have never expressed any interest or desire to campaign to save the Crown.
