Does anyone want to give me $260 so I can keep horse back riding during this April lockdown? It was the one thing keeping me sane while studying for my PhD qualifying exam.
My advisor just shared what he wrote in a scholarship reference about me and I am crying (good tears). So fortunate to have an advisor who encourages me and tells me that I'm in grad school for a reason ๐ญโค
I am so lucky to have a supportive advisor. We have a grant due Monday and I've really been struggling with depression and anxiety and he said dont worry, we will rock the application in our meeting tomorrow and get it done. #phdlife
My heart hurts so much. Living with mental illness is something I deal with every day. I can't imagine being shot and killed because I had an episode. Its horrible that anyone is treated this way.
In approx 3 years I will have my PhD, I will be 27. 9 years of post secondary education. Everyone my age is working and having families. Can't help but feel like I'm behind in life. Mixed feelings for sure
