@bucklr01 @timothyjhohman @_michael_scholl It's an interesting question- GFAP is also expressed in the periphery (Schwann cells, gut glial cells), and there are 10 isoforms of it I think (gfap-alpha is most commonly assayed). Even considering the term astrogliosis/astrocyte reactivity, there are a lot of ?s remaining
