Our government resolutely refuses to allow foreign HGV drivers to bridge the shortage. Yet it is quite happy to include musicians, artists and dancers on the ‘skilled workers list’. No offence to those professions, but a shortage won’t cause the country to grind to a halt.

@spskelton Another angle. Is it either or these per say, or the limiting effect they have on the growth of the vine. Chalk with high calcium and high pH will limit nutrient uptake. High altitude will be cooler. Which is most significant?
