Hugh Jackman has paid tribute to Sir Patrick Stewart after his tragic passing.
“We lost one of the greats of stage and screen today. And, in my book, a tremendous friend and man. I learned so much from him. I will miss you, Patrick Stewart, all of my days.”

I never thought I’d be writing these words in 2026…
Like so many of us, I grew up watching Patrick Stewart as Professor X. For over 25 years, he brought wisdom, kindness, and humanity to a character who became such an important part of our childhoods.
Beyond the screen, his wonderful sense of humor, his infectious smile, and the joy he shared with his fellow actors made him even more special.
Seeing him one last time in Avengers: Doomsday will be incredibly emotional.
Thank you, Sir Patrick, for all the memories, laughter, and emotions you gave us. You will forever be our Professor X. ❤️
Please consider donating to research into Alzheimer’s disease and Lewy body dementia. These devastating diseases take far too much from so many families. Let’s keep fighting until we finally beat these damn diseases.
Rest in peace, Professor. 🕊️
What a profound loss. Stewart brought such intelligence, warmth and humanity to every role, creating characters that generations of fans will carry with them forever. #RIP
Kevin Feige pays tribute to Patrick Stewart:
“I’ll never forget the first time I saw Sir Patrick Stewart on the set of the first X-Men. After years of knowing him as the inimitable Captain Picard, I was in awe — and he turned out to be everything I had seen on screen and more: brilliant, charming, warm, generous, with a quiet strength and gravitas.
Away from the cameras, he was even more remarkable, with a wonderfully sharp sense of humor. It was a true privilege to know him and to work with him. His legacy lives on not only in decades of extraordinary work, but in the many, many people he mentored. He will be deeply missed.”
Omggg, no wayyy, that just crushed me 💔💔💔
Rest in piece GOAT
Can’t wait to see his (last?) performance in Doomsday, this movie will hit even harder now..
