The Amazing Digital Circus creator Gooseworxhas given fans a very honest answer about the idea of making a second season.
When asked if she would make Season 2 given the chance, she reportedly replied: “Probably not. I’m tired.”
It is a short answer, but it says a lot. The Amazing Digital Circus became a massive indie animation success, growing from a YouTube pilot into a global fandom phenomenon. With that kind of attention comes huge pressure, especially for a creator who helped shape the show’s strange humor, emotional darkness and unforgettable characters.
The series was also built as a complete story, not something meant to run forever. If the first major arc ends where it was intended to end, then stepping away can be a brave creative choice. Not every successful show needs to continue until it loses its spark.
For fans, the idea of no Season 2 may be disappointing. Characters like Pomni, Jax, Ragatha, Caine, Gangle, Zooble and Kinger have become deeply loved. But Gooseworx’s response also reminds everyone that creators are human. Animation takes time, energy and heart, and burnout is real.

One year ago, on July 8, 2025, the anime world lost James Carter Cathcart, the beloved English voice actor who helped define the sound of Pokémon for generations. He passed away at Calvary Hospital in the Bronx, New York, at the age of 71.
To Pokémon fans, Cathcart was unforgettable as Team Rocket’s James, Meowth, Gary Oak, Professor Oak, and many other characters. Sometimes credited as Jimmy Zoppi, he first appeared in the franchise as Fergus in Pokémon: The First Movie before becoming one of the dub’s most important voices.
His work went far beyond acting. Cathcart also served as a script adaptor, helping shape the English dub’s humor, emotion, and personality across more than 700 episodes and many films. His writing and performances gave the series a special energy that fans still remember.
Cathcart retired in 2023 while undergoing treatment for throat cancer. After his passing, fans and colleagues remembered him as kind, joyful, talented, and truly one of a kind.
