Do you have a brother… an uncle… aunty… cousin… boyfriend… or even a husband in the military?

No?

Okay… now I get it.

That’s why when you see “Soldier killed in action” you just scroll past it like it’s nothing. Like it’s just another headline.

But let me ask you something…
Do you really understand what that means?

That one soldier is not just a name.
That’s somebody’s son… somebody’s whole world.

That’s a mother whose heart just got shattered into pieces she may never fix again.
That’s a father trying to stay strong but dying inside quietly.
That’s a wife lying in bed at night, staring at the ceiling, wishing it was all a bad dream.
That’s children who will grow up knowing their father only through pictures and stories.

You call him a soldier.
But to someone else… he was everything.

Soldiers are human too.
They feel pain. They feel fear. They miss home.
But they still go out there… still wear that uniform… still stand in front of danger so you don’t have to.

Now let’s be honest…

If everyone decided, This job is too dangerous, let someone else do it, who would be left?

Do you think you would sleep peacefully in your house?
Do you think you would be reading this right now without fear?

But instead… we take them for granted.

We insult them.
We doubt them.
Some people even sit down and wish them to fail.

Fail?

Do you understand what their failure means?

It means chaos.
It means no safety.
It means fear everywhere.

And the painful part is…
most of you don’t understand because it has never been personal.

You’ve never had someone you love out there.
You’ve never waited for a call that didn’t come.
You’ve never felt your heart race because of one unknown number.
You’ve never lived with that silent fear every single day.

If you did… you would understand.

You would understand the pain.
The trauma.
The quiet suffering families go through.

So next time you see Soldier killed…
don’t just scroll.
don't just say trash.

Pause & Think.

Because that life meant more than you can ever imagine.

But I guess…
until it touches your own…
you may never truly understand.
