Extremely rare. Also featuring different box art than the officially released (1999) Batman Beyond: “The Movie”
Rebirth Part II to start off the morning
The scene of Bruce unlocking the suit and Terry beasting on the armored guards paired with Michael McCuistion’s electrifying score, will never fail to hype me up!
“On the outside, he [Derek Powers] appears to be the smiling, benevolent face of corporate America, but inside you see he is dark and twisted and toxic. He can barely keep it in any longer.”
-Paul Dini (writer/producer)
@batmancurated This background was actually used for the opening of act I from the New Batman Adventures episode “Old Wounds”
Batman Beyond was rarely animated with a red night sky. Purple was the common color palette. Red skies were commonly used in BTAS/TNBA episodes
@DuplessiePhilip I had a convo on IG about how the Jokerz being cheap imitations was sort of the point, but I never considered that from a design perspective.
The Jokerz (Gang) are over-the-top, almost fad-like. So THE Joker having a very basic design is a stark contrast. Wow. Great observation!
@fwompomp A YouTube channel by the name “The Hamill Who Laughs” uploaded a few scenes where they edited the Joker’s appearance in TNBA to resemble the classic BTAS appearance
@Beyondology I think it makes sense. Joker's real deal is his face, which coincidentally is taken from a 30's black and white movie. You could argue this is the character down to his essence, without any bells and whistles.
@TonnaEzenwa The audio is extracted from Return of the Joker movie commentary. I edit the rest myself.
The little watermark that flashes says “Beyondology” - That’s my channel name on all platforms to find more 🦇
