The new bike/pedestrian bridge over SR 520 in Montlake is officially open!
A few SNG folks braved the weather this weekend to check it out. This bridge offers a safer, more accessible connection between Montlake and the U-District.
Big thanks to everyone who joined the @BFGreenways holiday ride!
From dazzling light displays to post-ride cheer at a local brewery, it was a magical night celebrating community, safe streets, and the joy of biking.
Proposition 1 in Seattle devotes $30 million to fixing Aurora Ave, and also commits to fixing the other most dangerous streets (Rainier Ave S, MLK Way S, Lake City Way NE, and 4th Ave S). These projects will need state and federal matching funds, so vote up and down the ballot.
Seattle Prop 1 is the investment we need for safer, more accessible streets. Passing it means $1.55B for sidewalks, crosswalks, bike lanes, and speed calming to make Seattle safer for everyone.
Let’s make sure we don’t miss this chance! 🗳️
