Police said the victims responded to social media offers from unofficial sellers promising cheaper or sold-out tickets, with one fan losing RM3,000 after the reseller disappeared.
The Court of Appeal has ruled that courts cannot compel defendants in defamation cases to issue apologies, saying an apology must be voluntary and sincere.
It said neither common law nor the Defamation Act provides a remedy allowing courts to force someone to apologise.
