I met @CRCymru today. Our discussion included Fuel Poverty & its health impacts, the 130% increase in charitable funding they accessed in 2023 to fund home repairs, the need to monitor the situation as we go into the Welsh Government’s new Warm Homes Programme,

Finally, they will then support the homeowner to find funding to make the changes needed, and even help apply for the relevant grants.

The service is for people in Wales over the age of 60, who own their own home or privately rent.

The Home Energy Officers will provide guidance on energy bills and fuel debt, signposting to other organisations that can help. They will also address any damp, mould and condensation issues that may be present in the home. (4/5)

They will then offer expert advice and information on what repairs, improvements and behaviour changes could increase the home’s energy efficiency and overall warmth. (3/5)

Our friendly Home Energy Officers will visit homes and provide a free home assessment. They will look at the heating system, insulation, and other factors that might impact warmth and energy bills. (2/5)
