Today, we celebrate and thank God for 250 years as a nation. I want to thank the 50 pastors and everyone who joined us in praying for America over the last 50 days. But today isn’t the end of our need for prayer! We need to keep asking God to guide and direct our leaders and to continue to allow our country to be a beacon of freedom and hope for the world.

As we celebrate Independence Day and thank God for the freedoms and blessings we enjoy, BillyGraham’s message remains as relevant as ever: America’s deepest need is a humble dependence on God.
As the United States of America marks the 250th anniversary of our nation’s founding, we have much to be grateful for—but also much to reflect upon. Billy Graham challenged Americans to examine the “stitches” of sin and brokenness that still exist in our nation and reminded us of God’s promise in 2 Chronicles 7:14: “If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”
This Fourth of July, as we celebrate God’s faithfulness to our country, may we thank Him for His goodness, seek His forgiveness, and pray for His continued guidance, wisdom and favor for America.
As America approaches its 250th anniversary, @BillyGraham's Independence Day message from July 4, 1970, still speaks to the heart of our nation. His challenge remains as relevant today as ever: "No nation is ever taller than when on its knees." Read more: https://t.co/pxRaIaQkiw
