Today, Bradford Girls’ Grammar School students visited the grave of Alberta Vickridge, a proud BGGS Old Girl, war poet, and nurse who served in hospitals during the war.
Our students paid tribute to her remarkable courage, compassion, and creativity. 💙

We were delighted to welcome back ‘Old Girl’ Val for a visit to Bradford Girls’ Grammar School today.
Val attended BGGS in the 1960s and shared some wonderful stories about her experiences as a student.

#OTD 150 yrs ago, Bradford Girls' Grammar School @BGGSchool opened its doors to 112 girls, excited at the prospect of receiving a 1st-class secondary education for the 1st time. They'd only expected 60 to enrol, so had to recruit more trained schoolmistresses.
