@M1ndSetZ I would start slower and bump the bpm up after you can reliably play the exercise perfectly. So start at 80 then move up to 84 once you have that perfect. If it's easy then you can do bigger jumps, say 10bpm. Hope that helps.

One of my biggest obstacles to learning Ragtime Blues was getting the right timing. That syncopated rhythm. I call it the bounce. This exercise helped me massively with my Ragtime Bounce.

Drop D is the easiest alternate tuning to learn. Take the 6th string down a whole step from E to D. That makes it suited for alternating bass tunes in the Key of D.
