Returning to school today for Clock House Prize Giving was OB, Dr Amir Khan (1999). Amir shared with students his journey from BGS to doctor, lecturer, writer and broadcaster—and his belief in the spirit of ‘Hoc Age’ to give everything a go. “Effort matters more than anything.”
Who is watching The Bombing of Pan AM 103, currently running on the BBC? We have two BGS Head Boys starring in this production! Joe Layton (2009) and John Hollingworth (1998) @JAHollingworth help tell the true story of the bombing of a passenger flight over Lockerbie in 1988.
Bradford really did put on a show today for our King and Queen. And at the forefront of that show were our Old Bradfordians. Pioneers, social innovators, entrepreneurs and performers. We are so very proud of all of you and thank you for making our City a place to be proud of.

Wow! The King is being treated to a performance by the Bantam of the Opera choir, a group of Bradford City fans taught to sing opera by BBC Radio Leeds during Bradford’s year as UK City of Culture.
We invite our OBs and their families to a day on the river on the 21st of June. Come and join BGS in the Saltaire sunshine for rowing, races and a BBQ lunch. To attend either as a rower or spectator, please email Simon Darnborough: [email protected].
