On Monday, 649 Squadron welcomed more than 70 guests including VIPs, cadets, their parents and local representatives to their HQ. The event saw the return of George ‘Johnny’ Johnson, the last survivor from the Second World War ‘Dambuster’ raid.

What a weekend we've just had! Huge success at Region Activities Day with the Wing coming 1st overall, especially in the music and banner drill competitions. We also took home silverware at the Inter Wing Junior Football & Hockey!

2328 Squadron staged its Annual Awards' Evening in Bishop's Cleeve Tithe Barn, which provided a great venue to present a wide variety of awards and certificates.
Last weekend saw 100 cadets turn out for two days of progressive training on subjects including first aid, leadership, weapons and radio communications. The weekend, which included a visit by Commandant Air Cadets, was a rounding success and is sure to be the first of many.
26 cadets from 12 Bristol and Gloucestershire Wing units just returned from an amazing week at the National Air Cadet Adventure Training Centre in North Wales.
They took part in canoeing, kayaking, mountain biking, rock climbing and abseiling.
Up and ready for another weekend in the wonderful world of air cadets. Off to @BgWing for a PTS training session, then joining @2442 for their Sqn BofB dinner and awards. Then to lovely Padstow tomorrow for a @RAFAssociation memorial event. Miles to go!

8 cadets from the Wing attended a DCCT shoot at RAF Brize Norton this weekend with all able to gain their Silver Trained Shot PTS badges. Good work everyone (and thanks to the staff for setting it up)! #WhatWeDo#NoOrdinaryHobby
Bristol & Gloucestershire Wing cadets have been competing at the Inter Services Cadet Rifle Meet at Bisley, pitted against cadets from other services and other countries. All cadets did very well and can take their experience into next year to try and win some silverware!
The Royal Air Force Air Cadets have good links with local emergency services and they often pop round to give the cadets an insight into what they do. The Armed Response Unit of Gloucestershire Constabulary popped round to 2419 (Quedgeley) Squadron to say hello #NoOrdinaryHobby
Cadet Warrant Officer Breddy, 2419 (Quedgeley) Squadron, has been lucky enough to be selected for a Gliding Scholarship to gain her Silver Gliding Wings. Well done on being selected and good luck on the course!
RAF Air Cadets from 2328 (Bishop's Cleeve) Squadron experienced the sport of orienteering near Cheltenham. Over two evenings 2328 Sqn cadets impressed their instructors with how quickly they learned and applied the principles of orienteering, as well as to improve their fitness.
2342 (Innsworth) Squadron were delighted to receive a Virtual Reality Flight Simulator, courtesy of Safran Landing Systems. After setup the cadets put the sim through its paces & will be well used as a training aid & inspire cadets to pursue an aviation related career. #WhatWeDo
