There’s no issue with the aim but that’s exactly what it is, an ambition, not an expectation.

Finishing 8th last season is great, we aren’t going to be great every single year.

@Freddiesharpe11 @ryanadsett Again Moyes at West Ham & Nuno at Forest didn’t have the fans & ‘didn’t know what they were doing’ but they got Europe & won silverware.

We aren’t getting a manager who plays top stuff & gets Europe consistently. We are a mid table PL side who will get Europe infrequently.

He led us to European football last year, Palace winning the cup stopped that. He’s literally 1 for 1 on his brief to finish top 8 and get Europe - it may not be good this year but our squad is weak and raw. We sell £60-120m and buy teenagers.

Forest get Europe under Nuno, West Ham get it twice & win a European trophy under Moyes.

This idea that we can sustain European competitions and play amazing football is a myth - no manager of that calibre stays at Brighton.

@ryanadsett Just because we were bad once doesn’t mean we should accept being bad again, so just because we were good once doesn’t mean we should be good again.

We have sold far too much & had coaches/staff ripped from us. We finished with 61 points last year - we’re allowed an ‘off’ year.

An infringement just means interfering with play. Can be a foul, offside, whatever.
Veltman didn’t foul the player, he blocked him from getting the ball whilst in an offside position - that is the only logical explanation, I’m not saying it’s the correct one.
