At the press conference in New Delhi on India's E20 ethanol blended petrol programme, Shri Vikram Gulati Ji, Country Head & Executive Vice President of Toyota Kirloskar Motor, highlighted the many advantages of ethanol. He said its high Research Octane Number (RON) ensures better performance, smooth drivability, and impressive acceleration.

He also explained that ethanol is a plant based fuel, making it a cleaner option that helps reduce net carbon emissions and supports India's climate goals.

Gulati Ji further noted that the rollout of 20% ethanol blending has reduced the impact of global crude oil price fluctuations, strengthened India's energy security and benefited both the economy and consumers.
