The Boston Harvard Burn Injury Model Systems (BHBIMS) team at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital took part in National Burn Awareness Week 2025, organized by the American Burn Association with the theme “Cooking Safety.”
Congratulations to Boston-Harvard Burn Model System medical student Renee Noordzij for presenting, “REsource Support To Optimize REcovery (RESTORE) in the Burn Population,” at Mass General Brigham Clinical Research Day!
This week’s theme is “Fire Safety for Children.” Children playing with fire is
dangerous and costly. Each year these fires cause hundreds and injuries, millions of dollars in
damage, and are most likely to kill young children under the age of 5.
