Credit it where it’s due, that was a v cool way to platform Australian music through Snoops performance. Tash Sultana, Baker Boy, Jess Mauboy all seamless fits and for an international act like Snoop to be willing to rework his set to amplify their respective styles. 👏 #AFLGF
Given the recent mental health discussions in AFL, I think it’s time for authoritative media & footy figures to take a vocal stand on the abuse not only directed at players, but their partners. It’s not enough to ignore it, especially coming from a ‘fan’ page with 22k followers
@GrumpyDolph1n Absolutely, and why wouldn’t you dart down to Melb to see friends and partners family after being in QLD when you have a few days break? It is possible to speculate in a professional, respectful manner but the language and angling seems very intentional from some reporters.
@lozza929406 I think critique of player and club performance is obviously valid but unfortunately too many cross that line of making it personal. And in this particular case, why would you want to stay at a club when you have fans like this ragging on your personal life/relationships lol
@lozza929406 To be fair, dealing with Meta is really hard, especially in Australia. But I would love to see all clubs say something to their respective fanbases that this kind of stuff isn’t okay
Bridget (as per) spot on here and also later in this thread re: it being time male footy media reconsiders how it frames the roles of partners in players lives.
