Why is it so difficult for us, as educators, to realize that adults experience trauma too? AND accept the fact that they don't always know how to cope and carry on either? Our SEL, compassion, and empathy should not just stop at our students!
Ms. Shipley's class wrote expository essays on the topic, "What is your favorite restaurant and why?" One student wrote her essay on Cheddars, in NN. Her mom sent the essay to Cheddars. 2chefs from the restaurant came w/gifts for the student & honey butter croissants for class.
Today was our first Panda Pride Club Day at Bassette! Students participated in Latin dance, jewelry making, vision boards, karaoke, cooking and STEM projects. They also made African masks and comic books just to name a few! @BassettePandas@HCS_TitleI@HamptonCSchools
