According to her, conscripts were threatened and put under intense pressure to sign contracts.

This morning, the Russians launched a brutal attack on a busy intersection in Pechenihy, Kharkiv region – a location with a post office and stores, surrounded only by residential buildings.

As of now, 10 people have been reported killed. My condolences to their families and loved ones. Many people have been injured and are receiving all necessary medical care. First responders have already extinguished the fire, and all emergency and response services continue working at the site. All the circumstances of this tragedy are being established.

Ghana has demanded that Russia stop illegal recruiting of its citizens to fight in the war against Ukraine.

According to the country's FM, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, 62 Ghanaian citizens have been killed in Ukraine, while another 15 are listed as missing.

Lavrov confirmed that Ghanaian citizens had signed contracts with the Russian defense ministry and claimed they had done so "out of solidarity with a country that helped them fight racism" and "for financial reasons".

He also said Moscow had received similar requests from other countries.
