@Optimuspool@CHogarthPC They are going to rebuild the road to fit 4 lanes of traffic and 2 raised, sidewalk level bike lanes. There’s room for this in the western sections of Bloor St. Currently the bike lanes weaves in and out of a former parking layby.
@ConorBoyd14@CHogarthPC Because they are going to rebuild the street to feature 4 lanes for cars and 2 sidewalk level bike lanes. At least in the areas where there’s room for it. ie The Kingsway
@CHogarthPC The only thing that makes sense is that you will rebuild the sidewalk and curb to feature a raised cycle track and 4 lanes of traffic. i.e. “rip out” a silly bike lane that weaves in and out of a parking layby and replace it with a straight one.
@anthony49898531 Drivers tend to fork over 35 % of their earnings to Insurance, Gas, Banks and Car manufacturers to get from point A to B and you’re calling other people slaves? lmao ok then.
@AmerCdn@jen_keesmaat That won’t last long because that “safe street route” is more like a maze of dead end streets. I really hope you try it, maybe you’ll understand why it doesn’t work.
@mzbikowski22 You’ll likely be dead before these streets ever go back to 4 lanes. Try to enjoy your remaining years stress free… politics free… go for a nice walk, Marian. Or maybe a bike ride or drive in the country.
