In 1948, Sidney Farber and colleagues published his work in @NEJM that helped open the door to modern chemotherapy.
Seeing that history from the same institution — especially after a remarkable #ASCO26 with major plenary contributions and @NEJM papers from @DanaFarber — is humbling.
A powerful reminder that progress in oncology is built across generations: by patients, scientists, clinicians, and teams who keep asking what might be possible.
Phase II GemFLP presented by Dr Emanuele Crupi in advanced urachal and non-urachal urinary tract adenocarcinoma, a rare disease with little prospective data. Frontline GemFLP achieved 44% ORR, mDoR 8.6 mo, and mOS 21 mo. Outcomes similar between urachal and non-urachal subtypes. A valuable benchmark for this rare malignancy! #ASCO26 #BladderCancer @OncoAlert@ASCO@OncBrothers
Great presentation by Dr. Ramaprasad Srinivasan. Biology and molecular characteristics of papillary RCC: a heterogeneous disease with distinct subtypes. Understanding this molecular landscape is key to developing subtype-specific therapeutic strategies. #ASCO26#RCC@OncoAlert@ASCO@OncBrothers
CaboNivo final results in non-clear cell RCC presented by Dr Darren Feldman: ORR 43% in Cohort 1 (papillary, unclassified, tRCC), with a striking 88% ORR in FH-deficient RCC. mPFS 11 mo, mOS 28 mo. No responses in chromophobe RCC. CaboNivo confirmed as a standard 1L option for these rare subtypes. #ASCO26 #RCC @OncoAlert@ASCO@OncBrothers
Great presentation by Dr. Pavlos Msaouel. Panitumumab-based EGFR blockade in SMARCB1-deficient renal medullary carcinoma: ORR 53.9% (15.4% CR) and mOS 9.5 mo in heavily pretreated pts, far exceeding historical benchmarks. Wild-type EGFR dependency as a new therapeutic vulnerability in this rare, aggressive disease. #ASCO26 #RCC @OncoAlert@ASCO@OncBrothers
Dr. Jun Gao presented a phase 1b/2 of Bulumtatug fuvedotin (BFv) + toripalimab in la/mUC: ORR 83%, DCR 89.4%, mPFS 12.9 mo, and 18-mo OS rate 68.1%. All CRs remained on treatment. Impressive efficacy signal for this novel Nectin-4 ADC + anti-PD-1 combo. #ASCO26#BladderCancer@OncoAlert@ASCO@OncBrothers
Very proud moment at #ASCO26 seeing our @DanaFarber_GU@BIDMChealth newest fellow @AliHajjAli4 present his previous work from @AUB_Lebanon. Baseline polypharmacy & peri-treatment medication exposure may adversely affect ICI outcomes. Congratulations on an impressive presentation!
#ASCO26 has been incredible so far! ✨
Grateful to all who stopped by to learn about the latest genomic data from TCF-001 TRACK — our decentralized trial bringing #PrecisionMedicine to #RareCancer patients nationwide. 🧬

Big news in pancreatic cancer: Phase 3 trial in metastatic disease found a RAS(ON) inhibitor doubled median overall survival. @DanaFarber’s Brian Wolpin, MD, presents today at #ASCO26 on this major potential advance in one of the hardest cancers to treat.

The final plenary presentation of #ASCO26 features #DrBrianWolpin from @DanaFarber_Hale, reporting compelling phase 3 RASolute 302 results with daraxonrasib, including significant and clinically meaningful improvements in OS (13.2 mo) and PFS (7.4 mo), with fewer grade 3+ TRAEs versus chemotherapy in previously treated mPDAC.

Traditions are traditions! Always love stopping by my stellar colleague @MarcMachaalani’s poster — this time combining our favorite protein biomarkers, KIM-1 & MAdCAM-1, in a prognostic model for mRCC at #ASCO26!

Our very own Prof. Mary-Ellen Taplin from @DanaFarber_GU opens up the plenary session at #ASCO26 with practice-changing results from the phase 3 PROTEUS trial. Perioperative apalutamide + ADT significantly improved pathologic response rates (8.9% vs 1.0%) and metastasis-free survival (HR 0.80) in HR LPC/ LAPC.

Potentially paradigm-changing prostate cancer research presented in #ASCO26 plenary by @DanaFarber's Mary-Ellen Taplin, MD. PROTEUS study shows perioperative apalutamide in high-risk localized disease reduces risk of metastasis and death. @DanaFarber_GU

DREAM/Alliance A032101 presented by @DanaFarber's Dr. Atish Choudhury (@AtishChoudhury) at #ASCO26 shows 41% of favorable responders to testosterone suppression + ARPI remaining treatment-free w/testosterone recovery at 18 months after treatment interruption.

Dr. Alicia Morgans @danafarber reports today at #ASCO26 that ARACOG found darolutamide was associated with less decline in cognitive testing than enzalutamide, which may help guide treatment choice.
