After listening carefully to both sides, especially Jude’s response video, I honestly feel Peter is playing the sympathy card and carefully framing Jude as the main problem. That doesn’t mean I’m fully on Jude’s side. The personal allegations Peter raised later: the alleged threats over the Atlanta house, how Lola and their son were treated, the family meetings, those still look serious and wrong if true.
But my focus is on the money and access claims, because that’s where a lot of the public anger is coming from.
They already had clear agreements on how to share money long ago. So why did Peter suddenly have such a big problem with the sharing formula? And why did these money issues only explode after Jude openly opposed his marriage to Lola? That’s when Peter started saying Jude was the problem and needed to be removed from P-Square. To me, that timing says a lot.
Here are some of the clear gaps I noticed between what Peter said and what Jude showed:
1. The 2016 royalty payment (around $25k–$38k) Peter talked about it like the money was diverted or like he didn’t even get his own share cleanly. Jude brought out the actual email from Iroko (June 2016) showing Peter’s portion was sent directly to him, while the rest went to the company account for Jude and Paul exactly as instructed. Peter only showed part of the story in his video.
2. Being removed as bank signatory Peter said he found out he was no longer a signatory when he tried to check the accounts. Jude showed the bank documents (including FCMB mandates) proving Peter, Paul and Jude were all still listed as signatories. He also said those same papers have already been used in court.
3. The long delay for the catalogue backend records Peter claimed it took three and a half months to get the streaming and backend data. Jude said the request came in October 2022 and the files were sent within six days, with proof that Peter downloaded them the same day.
4. Claiming he only started receiving dollar royalties recently Peter made it sound like dollar payments were a new thing. Jude showed records of dollar royalties paid to Peter going back to 2012.
5. The big claim of $1.2 million+ diverted royalties Peter said large amounts were redirected through Northside Music without his knowledge. Jude insisted everything was documented, followed the old agreements, and has already been looked at by EFCC and the court. He denied any diversion.
Looking at all this, it feels like Peter is reacting more from emotion and old personal hurt than from pure facts. The money complaints seem tied to the deeper grudge about how Jude handled his disagreement with the marriage to Lola.
One thing that still confuses me: if Peter is so sure they were stealing from him, why did he only petition Jude and leave Paul out? And with the court case still ongoing, some of the public moves look a bit convenient.
My advice to everyone following this: please don’t rush to pick a side. The first person to tell a dramatic story is not automatically the one who is right. Let the court finish its work and examine the real documents before we start calling anyone wicked or evil.
This whole thing is also a quiet warning. When family members try to force their opinion on who an adult chooses to marry, it often creates wounds that last for years. Advice is fine. Forcing it is not.
I pray God gives the Okoye family the grace to heal and find their way back to each other one day. This too will pass.
Peace ✌️
Suddenly VDM is no longer the man of the people. He is no longer the one everyone goes to for the truth. Just because he chose not to believe a one-sided story.
The moment Jude Okoye published hard receipts, every objective mind quietly left the room. That was the exact moment the internet mob moved in; not to support Peter, but to farm his pain for cheap engagement.
If the people fueling this outrage are truly better than the management they label as villains, why is nobody actually streaming Peter's music?
The hypocrisy is loud. The timeline gives him millions of views on scandal, but leaves his solo discography completely dry.
They are not fighting for him. They are using his public meltdown as free content to grow their own pages and collect ad revenue. The moment this story runs out of fuel, the exact same crowd will discard him and jump on the next online circus.
Peter needs to wake up and realize that social media applause is not real loyalty. Continuing to release emotional videos without a single piece of verifiable evidence is not saving his brand. It is destroying it.
Timeline sympathy will never replace actual numbers, and public rants will never rewrite legal contracts. When the noise finally settles, the receipts will still be standing, and the mob will be nowhere to be found.
Peter Psquare on Wendy Williams show 2011. He(Jude) is the Psquare people don’t see. 😂
Facts will always be there for all to see, everything isn’t about emotions.
“Our manager, who is also our elder brother, is the member of P-Square people don’t see on stage. He’s the one working behind the scenes, directing our videos and overseeing the creative process. Everything we’ve done has always been handled in-house before it was presented to the public.”
— Mr. P (Peter P-Square) speaking about the member of P-Square people don’t see on stage.
Time will tell.
@rickybazeup@UnkleAyo Thank you. People just don't want to use their brains. Psquare as a group had 60%. Which record label in this world will sign an artist and give them 60%. You might now see anything after your signing fee till the label breaks even
@pascal_myname@raphaelmoney@ChuksEricE I can't believe people. It's clearly right in the case file that 1.3b naira amounting to 1.1m dollars is the issue in court. Jude explained why he can't talk about it and idiots are still arguing
@SirFearlessss@ChuksEricE See talk. Right now they're more enemies tha brothers. His account has been frozen for two years and his documents ceased. No love lost
@Bamideleunique@carefully__@ChuksEricE People that don't reason with their brains. Jude himself said in the past that he hasn't been involved with anything psquare since they broke up.
