@Dr_M_Davis @ASPI_org @DefenceAust @LockheedMartin Absolutely. I agree. The DSR back in 2024 stated that we should be ambitious enough to manufacture our own guided weapons also but it seems there hasn’t been much will and instead we keep buying FMS when we have funds.

@snapipup @MrRexPatrick I suspect the AIM-120s are being diverted from yet to be delivered stocks at the not so subtle request of the POTUS. That leaves us even more exposed as it highlights just how we are on tenterhooks with this administration and they can cut us off at anytime

@deniseshrivell My thoughts are that with the diversion of our missiles intended for the ADF from the USA to the UAE, the government has “been told” that we will not receive future stocks unless we toe the line. As we don’t manufacture our own in this country, that would leave us defenceless.
