A very insightful day at #CybersecNetherlands, starting with a great discussion in the VIP Lounge together with Lilianne Bunk Bunk (Linklaters LLP), Geert Koster MBA CISSP (Global CISO, Witteveen+Bos) and Daniel Willms (Emproof).

We touched on reverse engineering, defence & drone technology, post-quantum security, AI and the changing cyber landscape — a fascinating intersection of technology, security and law.

Beyond the VIP Lounge, I had several interesting longer and shorter conversations across the event.

Great discussions with Ramsés Gallego and Gulay Aydin Aydın from DXC Technology around cybersecurity, AI and the Post-Quantum.

I also enjoyed catching up with Isa Ozler from https://t.co/UOI8EOHAi4, whom I’ve known personally for several years, and discussing digital identity and privacy, followed by an interesting exchange with revel8 on their AI-driven approach to human cyber risk and attack simulations.

A nice crossover into my own Data & AI territory with Codit, working across Azure, integration, data and AI.

With Robert Heimanson from Censys, our conversation moved beyond cyber into the startup ecosystem, entrepreneurship and innovation — always an interesting topic!

I also had a great joint conversation with Marc de Groot from iSOC24 and Doria de Abajo Gonzalez from KnowBe4, exchanging perspectives on startup ecosystem.

And great to connect with MYRA Security, Felix Brune and Rahul Saggar from Whisper Security, alongside conversations with OnLogic, Rockfeather and Checkdone IT.

One thing stood out across the day: previously separate technology domains are rapidly converging:

AI + Cybersecurity + Data + Defence + Digital Identity + Autonomous Systems + Post-Quantum.

Cybersecurity is becoming fundamental to how we design intelligent systems, protect critical infrastructure and build the next generation of digital and autonomous technologies.

Great conversations, new connections and plenty to continue after #CybersecNetherlands.
