I’ve been watching old episodes of Seinfeld. Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Jason Alexander deliver masterclass comedic performances episode after episode, while, in counterpoint, Seinfeld and the guy who plays Kramer give (respectively) some of the most wooden and histrionic reads ever conceived.
So I been on this fish kick, fresh. I went to get some from whole foods not paying attention to the price vs weight ratio and just pointed at the two pieces I wanted. Got to the check out and I’m sick bc how is this SEA-BASS THIS MUCH? Did it fly first class from Chile this morning?
I think the thing with The Bear is that while the first season was some fun, tight, competent drama, at some point in the second season its entire thesis became “we all agree that the only meaningful thing in life is the experience of going to an incredibly expensive restaurant”
