@Banx_Leaf I wish people wouldn't get so caught up in the tank. Brad traded away the pick last year, and anything was possible. Play out of the season and deal with it. I'd rather get it over with, than drag it on for another year... unprotected.

@Banx_Leaf @JFreshHockey The knights already have 4 more losses than they did all of last year and fired their coach with 8 games to go. Marner is trending to his lowest points total in a full season since 2018. Nylander has 1 less point than Marner in 16 less games.

Even just seeing the Sportsnet narrative between periods, and likely the headlines tomorrow will quell the narrative (albeit, doesn't really change the reality)

Most people are happy that something was done, so that they don't have to hear another 3 weeks of "Wow, they did nothing, again?" No one confuses this team as tough, all of a sudden.
