Peyton (@Dez805_), I’m 58 and I’ve played Madden most of my life. I think there’s something we’re missing in this MCS conversation. The pros absolutely deserve to get paid. But what about the thousands of regular players trying to learn this game? If we can’t keep them playing, how does MCS grow?
I’m Mark, BigFoFightus. That blue checkmark? I only paid for Premium so I could write longer posts, not because I think I’m somebody on X! Hell, every pro reading this would probably beat me 100-0. But I love this freaking game.
I think the regular Madden player is getting forgotten.
My coach @ManuGinobili987 taught me more than I ever cared to know! He taught me to UNDERSTAND the game, and he’s why I can even kinda compete. KINDA! I’ve developed some great friendships with Manu and @SpruceGooseTV through Madden. Manu’s even met my family. That’s something pretty special.
I love watching @Skimbooo23, @DubDotDUBBY, @Drini and @BeastNamedJon. I respect @NickMizesko and have enjoyed getting to know @tdavisbrand and @OneGreatUser. And I love the coaches, ebooks and https://t.co/32ljl81R4g. We NEED people teaching this game!
At 58, I understand coverages. Making 15 adjustments before the snap? Good luck! These macros confuse the hell out of me. I’ve bought expensive teams and broken controllers. Money buys cards, not skill!
I’ve been in business my whole life. EA HAS to make money to pay great developers and improve Madden. I’m not defending EA, and competing shouldn’t cost thousands. But cheaper cards, bigger prize pools and better games all have to be paid for somehow. Maybe EA needs to find an approved, affordable way to build teams instead of driving players to outside sellers.
Here’s a crazy thought. Why not TWO MCS leagues with separate prize pools? No Money Spent and Money Spent. Take the TOP 10 from each and bring them together for one championship on equal teams. Let skill decide it! Tell me that wouldn’t be cool!
I’ve spent 3 years developing Ultimate Gaming Edge, my Madden training software, and I’m getting close to releasing it. I want beginners and intermediate players to actually understand the game and WANT to keep playing.
If we can’t keep those players around, how does MCS grow? And without growth, where does the money for bigger prize pools come from?
Madden isn’t perfect, but it’s still a freaking incredible game. Pay the pros, make it affordable, help the rest of us learn, and GROW THE COMMUNITY!

@camdantzler3 Cam, is there such a thing in the NFL where a guy can still get a tryout or walk-on opportunity?
I watched you with the Vikings, and I honestly don’t understand how you’re not on a roster.
@spardisjx I really like JJ, but the health is the big question. At some point you need someone who can stay on the field. He’ll have his chance to compete with Kyler.
@SuperMajority18@NoContextHumans Dropping concrete blocks into the ocean doesn’t raise sea levels any more than tossing a single grain of salt into an Olympic-sized swimming pool.
