@Falcon_nikke He had a pretty poor attitude about it thats why. He let his ego show and people jumped on it for him. All he had to do was say he did it and won't in the future, or just kept quiet. Instead he bragged about his direct connections with Shift Up.
@silentsuiteio@Pirat_Nation she said its because it breaks immersion which I get. The more you see her face, the more you associate that character with Debra Wilson the actor, rather than the character herself. Its like seeing the same A-lister actor in movies, especially when they're type-casted.
@KuroKishi4132@RedShoesLabRat Bruh, even Anis has it better than Rapi because she actually got to go on an actual date and kiss the Commander in her SSR bond story
@Rezus1991@SWGalacticRacer its just a party limiter. Probably to keep you and your friends from stacking against a lobby of randoms. hopefully they add custom lobbies later. Squadrons was the same and they added custom lobbies post-launch
@YorchTorchGames as typical movie trope/logic which is why the scene doesn't feel off to me as a viewer. Its telling and move along a story in a game, not trying to portray real life scenario.
@mviper89@YorchTorchGames Maybe I don't fully understand but what I got was your main hiccup was that he's talking in a public location. I can hear that he's speaking softly, the mumbling around the bar is muffled so that it closes off this scene from the surrounding. I take it as -
@mviper89@YorchTorchGames "that's something you say when you're with your wife about your brother." He's literally on the phone with Maria asking after the kids, then Maria was asking about Marcus lol. People need to actually play the game or watch the scenes in full before raging about it.
@TrueAfricanHero@Pirat_Nation the only bad thing I heard was that it didn't sell well because it was and still is an Epic Games Store exclusive. But it reviewed really well
@Andy28869603@ElotesDoro They didn't originally register it. They actually reached out to the original artist and came to an agreement to buy the IP from them.
@LEWDARIUM@NebsGoodTakes IIRC Debra Wilson herself said she gets a lot of roles simply because there's not enough VAs/competition in the field. So with her experience and talent, she just ends up getting a lot of roles. Pro player in bot lobbies basically
@Headsman356@NebsGoodTakes You can still mocap onto a different model. You just rig and program it to do so. That's literally been a thing in gaming since as far as I can remember. Its just AAA studios probably thinks celebrity status/face will help sell a game like movies.
@1HourAlex@NebsGoodTakes that's just really on the studios. Like, I've seen a lot of Troy Baker where it wasn't just his face scan, but suddenly just seeing him as himself in Wolverine was really weird despite the incredible VA work. I guess companies believe the face will help sell the game, like movies
@onii_chankonabe@TevenR1@NotShinyPiprup The way Shift Up did it makes it much more personal. Those Nikkes failed -her- when she needed them the most. Her perspective shifts on the Nikkes she looked up to. It's why she has a hero complex and even looks down at other Nikkes if they don't rise up to the occasion.
@Mara_nagia@DoggosuwuI@KOGG__ You gotta get some help if that's living rent free in your head to the point you don't even know what you're typing anymore.
@cryptid_collec@cheodeu You could even ask whats going out in the JP booth because a lot of characters differ from the original KR. Cinderella and Rapi have deep voices in KR. JP pitches them up a lot, especially for Cindy.
@cryptid_collec@cheodeu They all sound different tbf. KR sounds darker and edgy, JP has Agnes Tachyon's VA and I can't unhear it. EN sounds like a Saturday morning villain. *shrug*
