If your son/daughter is in high school and you think he/she going to play college sports, you guys need to start thinking about where you’re comfortable they go geographically. Are you comfortable with them going somewhere that you can’t see them play? Do you want them to stay in your region? A lot of these things aren’t discussed and then the offers come in and it becomes stressful. If you want your child to stay generally in a region close to home does it really matter traveling all over the country for obscure tournaments? Are these things your family is discussing?
