In light of the events yesterday, I've decided to create Media Literacy Mondays for anyone in our staff to use on our Monday asynchronous day. I pulled from @NewsLitProject The Sift newsletter to create the one slide with skills for students to learn.
Meal bundles for the next two weeks will be available for pick-up tomorrow, Monday, December 21. Families may pick up two meal bundles per child (while supplies last).
Weekly meal bundle distribution will resume on Wednesday, January 6.
Global Studies students and anyone in the Mint Hill area--please support the food drive sponsored by our Global Ambassadors and benefitting Metrolina Native American Association.
Excited to explore Halloween traditions around the world with @Miss_Satt and the World Humanities classes! Ss did a great job sharing what they learned!
Hey @BigIPatriots--check out this blood drive organized by GSP student Leo Durante. You can donate if you are at least 16 (with parent permission). 17 & up--no parent consent needed.
I ROCKED THE VOTE a few weeks ago, and have been spending time getting my circle registered, engaged, and ready to take this Election on!✌🏻@BigIPatriots
This one is for you RBG— “Fight for the things that YOU care about, but do it in a way that will lead others to join you”👑💙
As we celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month, let us take time to reflect upon the activism of Dolores Huerta. Dolores was the co-founder of the National Farm Workers Association, which later became the United Farm Workers. Huerta helped organize the Delano grape strike in 1965 (1/3)
in California and is the originator of the phrase, "Sí, se puede" ("Yes, we can")
At age 90, Dolores remains active in community and labor organizing. (2/3)
