Protagonist story taking place during major events, but in the SHADOW of them (which makes me as a gamer feel like what I am doing in the game is unimportant) ✅
Publisher/Developer is raising their "hey we are progressive/woke!" flag to aggravate their potential audience ✅
And shit ass Ubisoft's version of 'OPEN WORLD' has been tiresome for a LOOOONNNGGGG timeeeee. So they lost me there.

Most of us not going to buy this game is because we don't want this 'game'
It's not because the protag looks a certain way.
I will say that I will rarely play a game where I can't play a male. Just like my wife rarely plays a game where she can't play a female
And I always advocate that companies allow us to either choose between a cast of characters like say, Octopath Traveler OR let us create a character like Mass Effect. That way everyone gets to play the protagonist that THEY want to play.

But I guess since Kathleen Kenedy or whatever her name is says 'The Force is Female'
we just get this shit every so often.

So, again, @Ubisoft , enjoy losing money on your terrible storefront and mediocre games.
When you are ready to earn profits again, come back to Steam, and make games that raises the bar, not slink underneath it like you're playing limbo
