IT Security: 95% trying to chase down who owns what where, what crazy long process you have to go through to get a meeting to talk about pushing some buttons, power points, fighting for access so you can use the APIs appropriately to assess the situation, finding out some other team has the same agenda as you with a different tool, finding 4 other tool overlaps and now have to go through same process above to have a meeting, more powerpoints, more RACI charts, more meetings, more access issues, more chasing...

@UK_Daniel_Card This is great, thanks Dan. I find a lot of orgs see large volumes of phishing and malware incidents and treat in isolation, before moving on. Looking at how and why this stuff is getting in (particularly malware on endpoints) often results in eye opening chats at senior level.

Lots of people asked me about digital ID... I haven't had much time to think about this.... so I'm going to spend a few minutes this morning thinking about it.

Today we have our PII stored in the DVLA servers and the Passport Office servers (as an example)

the Digital ID scheme is an app and wallet which I'm assuming integrates with Apple and Android wallets.

So, you need to register for https://t.co/yRvUzhwIJz One Login (which you will need to do for other things anyway AFAIK)

you can then active your identity on your smartphone etc.

then you can request a driving license from the DVLA site, it checks your https://t.co/jzymtAF6iX creds, then if ok provides you with a digital driving license that can be shown or checked physically or via NFC/QR code etc.

The digital ID here (wallet) isn't stand alone we need:

One Login (GOV Identity Provider)
A Smart Phone
A digital wallet APP

then we have to have services which will leverage One Login.

This doesn't sound terrible so far... (when it's limited to getting your driving license and passport)

so what's the big issue people have......
