Thailand’s Queen Suthida has made history by becoming the first Queen to pilot a fighter jet.

The 48-year-old queen completed a 41-minute solo flight in a Swedish-made JAS 39C Gripen on October 8, with King Maha Vajiralongkorn watching from the ground.

She has logged more than 1,188 flight hours across multiple aircraft and trained to Royal Thai Air Force standards for the mission.
