You heard it here first: Bika Aquaculture passed acceptance testing at a research-institute sponsor and is now being readied to go Live
The module adds a number of pathological aquaculture attributes to Cases (Bika Batches) and Samples, as well as a COA that meets ISO/IEC 17025 publication rules. The Sample Location add-on is used to group shrimp ponds together per site, e.g. nurseries and grow out farms. Locations and ponds are first-class objects in the LIMS, not remarks on a form.

Senaite is the maintained product line that grew out of first-generation Bika. The laboratory model, the workflow, and the ISO/IEC 17025-shaped design did not get thrown away. They were carried forward on the same Plone foundation, with a cleaner architecture, stronger testing, and a modern interface
