Unfortunately have to pull the plug on the open source codex chat remote relay, it was a solid run in the interim, but now that the OpenAI team has shipped something better there’s no need for this
That said, think there’s still a few product ideas in this poc worth exploring
Introducing Codex Chat - a 100% open-source, Swift-native macOS app that brings the Codex runtime into a ChatGPT-style experience.
After using the Codex app as my daily driver for the past week, it became obvious that it’s better at almost everything, including chat.
But the app lacked customizations, mods, and control over local memory - features that can evolve when the community can build on top.
So I had my agents build this over the weekend (warning very early alpha version)🧵
@marvinvonhagen you can run a light codex session on behalf of the user on a vm that poke controls, and use the built in codex remote “control other devices” feature to send requests to the codex session running on the users mac
And strip the codex plugin for claude code and make it the codex plugin for poke https://t.co/WEou43yLuu
Since my 200x limit ran out, my pro plans been absolutely cratering. Is there a way to see what agents are running across all devices and gobbling the most tokens?
