Don’t let @Conway_Sean’s ‘everyman’ posture fool you—this real-life Forrest Gump from Wales by way of Zimbabwe is an absolute animal (he would say a terrier) with a long-list of ultra-endurance world-firsts and bests, the most notable being the completion of 105 consecutive iron-distance triathlons in 105 days—a mind-melting feat that eclipsed the Iron Cowboy James Lawrence’s previous record of 101.
Even better? He claims he could have kept going—and believes he could have done 200.
My favorite of Sean’s records? He’s the first and only guest in RRP history to show up in his full training kit😂
Recorded during my visit to London this past August, this conversation traverses Sean’s extraordinary accomplishments, his ‘terrier mindset’, the ‘ten pillars of endurance’, why he doesn’t celebrate small wins, his unique lens on failure, and his reasoning for never, ever having a backup plan.
Leave your excuses at the door people, and get on this one.

@david_mccraw I had this with these tyres a couple of years ago, I had a loop of bead sticking out, that was pinging off the rear derailleur. It's a miracle it didn't snag it. Luckily I was almost home.
@jacopasbass@peterwalker99 The stopping distance between 20 and 24mph is about 4 meters. That's the difference between not hitting someone, and them going right under your car
@velobetty It seems they are using a small object in the dust cap which may deflate the tyre slowly, so may lead to having dangerously flat tires without realising it. That said, I once had two tyres slashed and as soon as I stated pulling out you could tell something was won't
. @RantyHighwayman another in the series of motorist ruins active travel series...

@CyclingInASkirt Once had a 4x4 pull up next to me in the ASL, looked at my bike, it was a large Pashley Roadster, with a double top tube, and said "that's a big bike", my reply of "not as big as yours" was met with a confused look
@ChristianH_SSS@MikeyCycling@theJeremyVine Watch a set of traffic lights. See how many cars drive through when the lights change. Remember if you can stop on amber you should. I'm not condoning either action, but there is very much a mindset of cyclists jump red lights in a different way than cars so it must be bad.
