I am looking for a few Research Volunteers to join me for the “Hyderabad Gen Z Sentiment Survey”, an independent and self-financed research project that aims to understand the aspirations, concerns, discontents and views of young people towards politics, policies and institutions.

Students and faculty members from Hyderabad who can help collect responses from 17–29 year olds in colleges, universities and localities around Hyderabad are welcome to join hands with me. Volunteers will receive limited monetary support based on verified Google Form responses, a certificate, and an opportunity to work on research papers based on the collected data.

Field Insights from Jubilee Hills!

Our interns have successfully conducted a “Muslim Sentiment Survey” across 41 minority-dominant polling stations of the Jubilee Hills Assembly Constituency between 10–21 October 2025.

📊 Over 6,865 Muslim voters randomly selected from Voter List were interviewed face-to-face using structured questionnaires.

This survey was designed to capture micro-level insights into voter attitudes, preferences, and booth-wise dynamics, helping us understand the evolving political and social sentiments on the ground.

A big thank you to our dedicated interns, field coordinators, and data team for completing this large-scale exercise with sincerity and precision.

జూబ్లీహిల్స్‌ ఉప ఎన్నికలో మైనార్టీలు కారు పార్టీకే జై కొడుతున్నారు. నియోజకవర్గంలో మళ్లీ బీఆర్‌ఎస్‌ పార్టీదే గెలుపని ఘంటాపథంగా చెప్తున్నారు. బీఆర్‌ఎస్‌ గెలుస్తుందని 50.5 శాతం మంది మైనార్టీలు చెప్పగా, కేవలం 27.9 శాతం మంది కాంగ్రెస్‌ గెలుస్తుందని అన్నారు.

22 నెలల కాంగ్రెస్‌ పాలనపై మైనార్టీలు తీవ్ర అసంతృప్తి వ్యక్తంచేశారు. పాలన చాలా దారుణంగా ఉన్నదని 32.8 శాతం మంది పెదవి విరిచారు. ‘బిలియన్‌ కనెక్ట్‌’ అనే సం��్థ ప్రత్యేకంగా మైనార్టీలతో నిర్వహించిన సర్వేలో ఈ విషయం వెల్లడైంది.

జూబ్లీహిల్స్‌ ఉప ఎన్నికల్లో భాగంగా బిలియన్‌ కనెక్ట్‌ అనే సంస్థ మైనార్టీల అభిప్రాయాలపై ప్రత్యేక సర్వే నిర్వహించింది. 82 మంది సభ్యుల బృందం అక్టోబర్‌ 10వ తేదీ నుంచి 21 వరకు మొత్తం 12 రోజులపాటు సర్వే చేసింది. 41 పోలింగ్‌ స్టేషన్ల పరిధిలో 6,865 మంది మైనార్టీల నుంచి సర్వేయర్లు అభిప్రాయాలు సేకరించారు. రైతులు, ప్రభుత్వ ఉద్యో��ులు, వ్యాపారులు, ఐటీ ఉద్యోగులు, గృహి��ులు, రిటైర్ట్‌ ఉద్యోగులు, నిరుద్యోగులు, దినసరి కూలీలు ఇలా అన్ని వర్గాల వారి అభిప్రాయాలను సేకరించారు. వారంతా మళ్లీ బీఆర్‌ఎస్‌ పార్టీయే జూబ్లీహిల్స్‌లో విజయం సాధిస్తుందని ధీమాగా చెప్పారు.

Happy to share my latest article published in The Indian Express on recurring internal feuds in regional parties.

Each time I map the ruptures in these parties, the pattern seems less about ideas and more about control: Who decides, who benefits, and who is next. The feud is rarely an aberration; it is built into the ecology in which minor parties operate.

I argued that the health of Indian democracy depends not only on free and fair elections between parties, but also on democracy within them. If parties cannot govern themselves predictably and fairly, how can we reasonably expect them to govern us?

The fight against factionalism will not be won by clever press releases or cleverer alliances. It can be won — slowly — by building procedures that outlast personalities. Only then will minor parties stop falling to feuds and start delivering the stable, grounded politics they promise.
