I was honoured to participate in the Katsina State Government Tree-Planting Campaign by the the Katsina Climate Change Secretariat to combat climate change, curb desertification, ecological restoration, and promote a healthier ecosystem across the state.

Yesterday I had a strategic meeting with the @nsia_nigeria Nigeria Sovereign Investment Authority (NSIA). The meeting was held to discuss investment and the review of the current investment portfolio of Katsina State, as well as exploring opportunities for partnership.

Inauguration of Amana Microfinance Bank

In our efforts to strengthen financial inclusion and support economic growth in Katsina State, I inaugurated the Board and management of a state-owned Amana Microfinance Bank.

The Board, comprised of carefully selected individuals of proven integrity and strong banking experience, is believed to have what it takes to reposition the bank for effective service delivery.

With the recapitalisation of the bank to about N1bn and ongoing reforms in line with the Central Bank of Nigeria guidelines, we are building a stronger institution that will support small businesses, empower entrepreneurs, and expand access to finance, especially in underserved communities.

I congratulate the Chairman and members of the Board and wish them success as they take on this important responsibility.

His Excellency Mallam Dikko Umaru Radda, PhD CON, the Governor of Katsina State, has inaugurated the Board of the Katsina Amana Microfinance Bank, which is under the supervision of my Office. This is will ensure greater financial access to products and services for customers.

Alhamdullilah I defended the budget of the Department of Banking and Finance last week
