"The Trump administration is reportedly considering a bailout for the United Arab Emirates over economic losses sustained as a result of the U.S. war with Iran," per the New Republic.
@MBarkannNBCS Do this and you keep Muncy on the bench, (intentionally walk Pages if you can’t get out of the 6th, or w/ 0 on to start the 7th), you force LA to burn a catcher and replace with a catcher (Smith) in pain, and Strahm only pitches against 7 (Call), (IBB), 9 (Smith), and Ohtani.
@MBarkannNBCS You have 8, 9, 1. Need the first 2 outs before you worry about someone with 3 Ks. Meanwhile Roberts puts in a righty PH to face Robertson despite the mismatch. Would have been better to let Strahm see 7, 8, 9, 1 even if it’s against righties.
@NittanyTarHeel@JeffPassan My initial comment was made under the assumption that Buehler, Walker, Suarez, Nola, and/or Luzardo (any 2 of them) were considered bullpen arms tonight
@NittanyTarHeel@JeffPassan Topper should have counted his lucky stars that Robertson got the initial hold then put someone else in, in the 7th. Never give a bottom bullpen guy a dirty inning then send him back out there the next inning in the playoffs. So many better options to choose from
@NittanyTarHeel@JeffPassan Assuming the Phillies have 8 in the pen including Buehler and Walker, Robertson is probably the 6th best over Banks (maybe!) and Mayza. That is what I meant. Topper saved 5 arms instead of holding a crucial lead.
@TyJohnsonNews Never give a bottom bullpen guy a dirty inning then send him back out there the next inning in the playoffs. So many better options to choose from
@NittanyTarHeel@JeffPassan Huh? I never implied that they should have found another arm. I am saying that they had better options in the present bullpen (including the 2 extra normal starters) to hold the lead
@NittanyTarHeel@JeffPassan The Phillies are carrying better options right now on their active roster… Buehler, Walker, and whoever isn’t going to start between Nola, Suarez, and Luzardo. You don’t warm up Robertson and Banks with a dirty inning when you have Strahm (w/ a clean inning) or Orion.
@QuiverQuant@RepLuna My bet is that this administration wants to end the Ukraine war before they get into that. One mistake they made on their first term is not spreading out the wins evenly enough.
