Businesses should be ashamed of themselves, unfortunately they have damaged their branding so much that when the economy does turn around they won’t have any custom!!
@piersmorgan your absolutely spot on this morning! Businesses are fighting and pushing to claim “essential” status, putting lives of their workers and public at risk! @BorisJohnson wake up and lock down every company apart from hospital/gp employees #StayAtHomeSaveLives
Good morning @Specsavers, I understand that you are being less than supportive of your employees in the midst of this crisis. There are 6 of your customers in this house. If we all get through this, I can assure our business will be taken elsewhere. #specsavers
Yes brilliant idea that’s what #visionexpress and #Specsavers should do too!!! You can’t intract with customers and be 2 meters away when they need help with their eyes!?! 🙄
@Specsavers You should be closing your stores like every other large optical retailer, ensuring your staff and partners are safe.... or maybe ask the founders/Executives/CEO’s where they are in such vulnerable times...’staying safe at home’ I don’t think they are supporting the “community”
@LiesUponYouLay@DoesdoseDose@Specsavers You have to remember this is something completely new and if the only way to survive is to reduce hours/salaries to enable you to still have a job at the end of all this then count yourself lucky. A lot of people have lost their jobs and worse their business!
@Specsavers why are you the only Opticians open? Boots are showing they care for their https://t.co/Qm4uSabF2u don’t provide any PPE for staff, putting the lives of your people at risk....stop thinking with your wallet and think with your heart #StayAtHomeSaveLives
@LiesUponYouLay@DoesdoseDose@Specsavers I agree for that patient but the risks outweigh the benefits as the majority of cases wouldn’t be that! The “greedy” businesses you talk about may not be as fruitful as you think..understanding the costs that come with running an Opticians & having Specavers name above the door!
@LiesUponYouLay@DoesdoseDose@Specsavers That is only for a period of time whilst closures or reduction of trade is in place. If everyone obeys the rules of Covid and stays indoors then the economy can hopefully return to its original state.
@DoesdoseDose@LiesUponYouLay@Specsavers Opticians don’t have any power to diagnose and only a handful of Opticians can prescribe meaning no strain would be taken off the NHS. A patient would still need to attend an eye hospital!
@DoesdoseDose@Specsavers Believe me I know! The doors will stay open and customers will be able to come and go as they please. They will be able to have their glasses adjusted, collect glasses and order glasses all requiring close proximity to employees! Boots have a very small amount staying open!
@DoesdoseDose@Specsavers Whilst the doors stay open, customers will come into the store. Emergency Eye departments remain open, which an Optician would only refer to anyway if an emergency was presented. Why have other major optical retailers closed their doors? To protect their people and others!
