Happy Easter from Lagos, Nigeria! Looking forward to lecture students frm the Africa Centre for Theological Studies on "Theodicy" this evening & minister at the Logos International Christian Church in Victoria island on Sunday.May we be reminded to never loose sight of the cross!
There's a GenZ with mad video editing skills called Mike Wainaina, who used to be my colleague in Parliament. Check out what he's done with the images from the National Assembly today.
Baba's children have come through since the news came out, and you love to see it.
I'll be facilitating a reflection on "The Problem of Pain" at the C.S. Lewis Institute in Nairobi. The Epicurian trilemma asserts that either God is Good, but not Powerful, so cant stop the pain or he is powerful but not good, so won't stop it. How do we reconcile? Come join us!
Congratulations, Alliance High School Class of 2024! 🎉
Your outstanding performance in the #KCSE2024 has made us all proud. You’ve upheld the legacy of excellence and discipline that defines our great school.
We gladly welcome you to the Old Boys Club.

Blessed are those who uplift the poor, rather than those who overburden them with taxes
Blessed are those who give with genuine hearts, rather than corrupt the pulpit with money
Blyden in 1885 saw the day when the West, in consequence of their
material development, will have their "spiritual perceptions darkened"& "susceptibilities blunted" by "a
capturing & absorbing materialism". He predicted they'll resort to Africa to recover the
faith. Today...
In 1885, Edward Blyden wrote that Africa may yet be the spiritual "conservatory" of the world as in the past when Egypt took over after Jerusalem fell, raising many leaders of the early Church; Augustine, Tertulian, Origen, Athanasius etc. who shaped Christianity profoundly...
The launch of Apologetics in Africa by Kevin Muriithi @Ndereba (Ed) is a great contribution to the African voice defending the gospel in Africa, the frontier of global Christianity.
We #REJECTFINANCEBİLL2024 and the premise that we need more revenue. We insist that what is needed is curbing corruption and fiscal irresponsibility and waste by the state. Join me tonight as I engage in this conversation with young leaders from different institutions on TV 47.
The Postscript: Nearly 20 High Schools and 300 prefects and student leaders convened, got charged, changed, commissioned, and committed to be catalysts for change! #Hope lives here! #NextGenLeaders

Hello sir:
I phoned my agents immediately after seeing this and reiterated my desire to make this a priority.
My understanding is that we're working out timing and venues. It's a complex thing to arrange publicly with my a priori tour commitments but there are few conversations I more want to have (@elonmusk, arguably; @realDonaldTrump).
We'll make it happen.
We have a complex problem to address: can the civilization you and I both admire possibly be sustained without the magic of its underlying metaphysic?
You believe so.
I'm afraid not. I'm not sure, however, what to make of that suspicion, being as leery (perhaps even more) as you about the danger of ill-formed but hypothetically convenient preconceptions. I've seen the effect of delusion first-hand in my clinical practice.
Perhaps we are more allied than not. There's much about which we apparently profoundly agree. You obviously don't want what we have to disappear. I also know you're unhappy about the current state of the universities. You can see, as can I, that the scientific enterprise itself is now on shaky grounds--and not because of the Christians (even the fundamentalists).
But we've come to apparently opposite conclusions about the religious enterprise (excepting your appreciation for cultural Christianity).
So let's sort this out.
I don't want to "win."
I want to talk.
Hopefully we'll both be in good form when we meet.
Good day to you.
I loved engaging in an open-air, open-mic apologetics & polemics event dubbed "Grill a Christian" at the University of Nairobi @uonbi last night, responding to questions & making a case for the Christian worldview. @IssaThuo
moderated the event. I loved the concept!
Looking forward to this lecture by Rev. Dr. Xiaoli Yang on "Poetry as Doxology" @Ilu_University. She sees poetry as the mother tongue of the human heart, & an invaluable form of cultural exegesis. You can register to attend online through this link; https://t.co/mnjjaQaKM2
