Nope, not for the farmers now. I don't blame them one bit. But pay enough farmers it would take to fully redo the grid... then it becomes where do we get our food. Who pays the recycling fee for the panels. It all trickles down. Also unless you live in an area with majority full sun all year, the cons out way the pros. The farmers agree to the contracts because they've killed themselves to produce with no gains for over a decade. Hell yeah they should do what provides more for their family

@JigarShahDC Yeah it's great driving around the rural area I live seeing these ugly fields of panels instead of the beautiful green rolling grasses and corn. Then knowing in 5 years they will have to replace half of them with no way to recycle them. Great plan

But if that 4 trillion went to solar battery plants built by child and slave labor, you would be pushing the opposite. All bills pushed through will add to the deficit. Getting rid of illegal people collecting from that pool, tariffs, and doge continuing should help the curve we hope.

@elonmusk That'll be awesome... when we can recycle the components of solar. Not to mention how destructive the batteries are when they ignite. Make the technology safe and affordable before saying it's the only way going forward. Otherwise just sounds like they did pushing a vaccine.

When I was in Jr High, in addition to the standard math, English, history, foreign language, etc classes, we all had wood shop, metal shop, auto mechanics, home ec (sewing and cooking), and another class where they taught you how to do basic personal banking.
Schools should bring back these "life skills" classes.

- Salary $174k
- $7.6 million per year for meal reimbursements
- The MRA, the members reprisational allowance is $810 million
- MRA broken down is $1.5 million to each Congress Rep
- Majority in Minority leadership, Hakeem Jeffries and Mike Johnson, get $37 million just for them
- Actual Budget can range around $2 million per member, though some suggest it might be closer to $5 million when including all expenses
- Operational Costs: $750 million for House expenses and $250 million for Senate expenses

Conservative estimate total cost $1.5 million to $2 billion per year
