Tonight, as part of Show Racism the Red Card, Billie Barry played a group of refugees in a 9-a-side game on @BaldoyleUtd Astro. Harrowing experience for all involved. Not that the result mattered, but it ended 3-3. Goals on our part from Daragh Broaders (!!!) and Jordo x2.

I asked @rodericogorman whether, in light of the increasing number of attacks on homeless asylum seekers, they will all be offered safe accommodation.

The answer? A long winded no.

Blood is going to be on the government's hands if the worst happens.

I went down to the IPO camp several times with donations of food and clothes and although extremely grateful, the only thing the asylum seekers wanted was a job. That was genuinely the only thing they truly wanted our help with.
