It sounds like a child scribbling all over the page. Formless, meaningless, and unpleasant. Just a bunch of random noise that people trick themselves into liking, while they become numb to true musical quality in the process.

The total randomness and atonality of jazz is the PURE opposite of what music is supposed to be.

@hoot_ink I’m honestly conflicted about jason’s tenure. He’s situated in a really weird point in comic history, literally seen from his pre crisis to post crisis lore, his relationship to Bruce felt a lot more endearing, but his characterization overtime is just sooo inconsistent

@hoot_ink I don’t actually, bc then there isnt a story, I like flawed characters but i can recognize when something was reckless. Also don’t get it twisted, Bruce is massively at fault, but from his perspective, he’s actively grieving and grasping to blame anyone but himself

@hoot_ink because for every virtue, there’s two vices. It’s easy to mistake wrecklessness for courage when emotions are high, which is what Jason did, but acting like it was rational is not true. Especially considering the stakes of the story. By God, the joker is the ambassador of Iran

But if you’re looking at the situation from a birds eye view, Bruce told Jason that he was suspended from being Robin, and Jason ignored him twice. Analyzing and summarizing a story aren’t the same. Jason died bc he acted

If you were to make a Venn diagram of dick and Jason’s robin, they would nearly overlap. There is an argument that Jason has more of a father/son dynamic but that’s not enough for me to care
