Today marks 20 years since the deadly train crash in Graniteville, SC. We honor the first responders & remember all who lost lives or loved ones that day—they continue to inspire our work to protect communities and ensure the safe transport of hazardous materials.
Our new rule specifies how railroads must immediately alert emergency responders about trains carrying hazardous materials after a derailment. This will help first responders better protect themselves & respond more quickly to these serious incidents.

Thanks to @POTUS's Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, we’re announcing $196M to repair community-owned natural gas pipes: 37 projects across 19 states. This first-of-its-kind program will protect the public from high-risk pipes, limit methane emissions, and help w/ energy costs.
Today, we’d like to recognize our Executive Director Mac McMillan, a former Colonel and 30-year U.S. Army veteran. He joined our team in 2001 and now has 50+ years of military & federal service. Thank you for your service, Mac!
